Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Aleph Auction?

The Aleph Auction is really not an auction but simply a RAFFLE with many prizes. You purchase tickets of various amounts, from $10 to $100 for different prize calibers. The better the prize, the more the ticket costs. There is no bidding involved nor are any prizes sold for the ticket cost. Your purchased ticket will go into a lottery box and be hand-picked on the night of the auction in front of a large crowd on the evening of Monday, February 19, 2018.

What is the drawing date for the Chinese Auction?

For all of the prizes except the Grand Prize, the drawing will be Monday, February 19, 2018 (evening)

For the $100,000 Grand Prize, the drawing will be March 21, 2018.

How will I know if I win a prize?

If you are not at the actual event, one of our representatives will contact you if your name is picked.

Can I use Maaser money to purchase tickets?

The general guidelines given are that you are allowed to use Maaser money to purchase auction tickets as the money is going to charity. If you win a prize, the money paid for the ticket must be returned to the Maaser Cheshbon. One would also be required to give maaser for the value of the prize won as well. We encourage you to ask your local Rabbi for further information regarding your own personal circumstances.

Can I exchange my purchased tickets for another prize of the same value?

Yes. While we cannot allow refunds, we do allow exchanges of equal amounts. If your order is placed online, you can exchange by e-mailing us in the contact page.
